Data-Based Decision Making for Instruction

This course provides individuals with the foundation and skills to understand and implement a data-driven decision making process at the core level of instruction. The course will provide a structure from which teachers, curriculum coaches, department chairs, coordinators, etc. will be able to identify specific needs based on data, to collaborate with others to structure an instructional response to those needs, and to create professional teams that reflect and improve their day-to-day practice using data. Students taking this for Principal certification should complete 20 hours of field experience during the 8 week session. Successful completion of this course may be a requirement for additional coursework in the Principal certification program.
