Writing Right and Wrong: Ethical Issues in Literature

This course focuses on the analysis and evaluation of ethical issues and concerns depicted in a broad range of literary works. In reading and responding to ethical perspectives and concepts in literature, the student will engage in a semester-long project of writing (understanding and articulating) their own ethical position. This position will develop from a study of a range of ethical frameworks used to approach social and political problems.
