Business Project Management

Whether one is a practitioner of project management or a participant in projects, understanding and applying project management skills and techniques is a fundamental need in todays world. This course address both managerial concepts and hands on application of software tools. Emphasis is placed on the key knowledge areas that are recognized within the discipline: project integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communication, stakeholder, risk and procurement management. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to apply project management techniques and use Microsoft Project to develop timelines, network diagrams and critical path analyses. Examinations, assignments and/or projects will be used to demonstrate understanding of course objectives.
