3307 U.S. in the Industrial Age, 1877-1939 (3-0). American social and political history from the Gilded Age to the Great Depression, with detailed emphasis on the evolution of modern capitalism and such related topics as labor, agriculture, immigration, and the emergence of the U.S. as a global military and political actor. Satisfactory completion of History 1301 and 1302 or equivalent American history credit is prerequisite to advanced history courses (3000- and 4000- level courses).
