Basic Firearms Familiarization

Designed to give the first-time shooter hands-on experience as well as knowledge of the operation of a handgun and range safety. Students will engage in the use of firearms, which will include handgun familiarization; safety; care, cleaning and storage; firearms range qualification. Note: : Per Penal Code section 13511.5 students must obtain written clearance from the California Department of Justice verifying that they are not prohibited from possessing firearms. Note: Registration will be held during the first hour of the first class meeting.
