Students will identify developmentally appropriate behaviors, challenging behaviors, and the various social and emotional influences that effect childrens behavior. Students will analyze childrens behaviors and select strategies to make positive changes. Emphasizes the connection between childrens social and emotional development and their success in the classroom. Provides practical strategies for implementing social and emotional curriculum and working with families. Applicable course for preschool teachers, transitional kindergarten and early-primary teachers, and child development permit holders.
