Physical Elements of Geography
This course is the study of the earth as a physical system and its processes. Topics of inquiry are derived from the earths four main spheres, the atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere, and biosphere. They include weather and climate, earth-sun relationships, geology, and landforms. Geographic techniques such as mapping, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing are also discussed.
