A conductor-less ensemble that explores in-depth score study, detailed techniques for stylistic performance, and advanced concertante playing of repertoire from the Renaissance to newly composed works In groupings of diverse size. Instrumentalists, keyboardists and singers are invited to experience repertoire not normally encountered in the symphony orchestra or traditional chamber groups. Students will ultimately achieve a more comprehensive understanding of musical preparation, ensemble discipline and conductor-less performance, culminating in a final concert for a public audience.
