Organic Chemistry I

A detailed study of organic compounds, their synthesis and reactions, presented within the framework of modern physicochemical theory, together with an introduction to modern methods of analysis and identification. Majors and minors enrolling in this course must also take CHEM 262. Highly recommended for sophomores, and not open to seniors except by permission. Laboratory
