ENGR 204

Circuits Analysis and Electronics

An introduction to the theory and application of electronic circuits and devices. The following topics are covered: basic linear circuits (including frequency and transient response), semiconductor devices (diodes, op-amps, comparators, etc.), electric power, electric safety, and DC machines. Laboratory exercises are used to illustrate the material covered in the lecture portion of the course. Students will measure voltage, current, resistance, power, transient response, resonant circuits, voltage regulators, operational amplifiers. Students will investigate digital logic circuits. Co-requisite: PHYS 235

Units: 4.0
