Philosophy of Physical Education and Sport

Core capstone course. This course provides students with a survey of philosophical inquiry about sport and physical education. Topics include the nature of play and sport, sport as meaningful experiences, ethics in sport and physical activity, and contemporary issues such as drugs, violence, and gender. Throughout the course, students are confronted with issues from a Christian and Reformed perspective in order to develop their own Christian perspectives
