This course introduces students to the two-thousand year tradition of Christian political thought. Students will learn about the contributions of the early church figures, Reformed, Catholic, Anabaptist, and Orthodox thinkers and representatives of various contemporary Christian traditions. In developing their own approach to what faithful citizenship means, students will draw from classical Christian figures as well as more contemporary voices such as Martin Luther King Jr., Dorothy Day, and Reinhold Niebuhr
