Psychological Perspectives on Marriage and the Family

This course focuses on psychological theory, research, and perspectives on family life. The course examines historical and current conceptualizations of the family as well as cross-cultural and alternative conceptualizations. Psychological perspectives on marriage preparation, marriage, divorce, infertility, child rearing, and single parenthood, as well as developmental changes in the family are addressed.
