Christianity in West Africa: A Ghanaian Perspective

A multi-disciplinary course taught in partnership with Akrofi Christaller Institute during the month of January, this course will fulfill an interim requirement for students. This class will expose students to the richness of Ghanaian history, culture, and religion. Special emphasis will be placed on understanding the history of various Christian groups (mainline, charismatic, or traditional) in Ghana, where a majority of citizens profess to be Christians. The first half of the interim will be spent at the Akrofi Christaller Institute located in Akropong, Ghana. The second half of the interim will involve trips to the Gold Coast, Kumasi and Tamale
