Linguistic Anthropology

Introduction to the study of language, culture, and society. Topics include principles of linguistic analysis (phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics), the ethnography of speaking, quantitative sociolinguistics, language contact and change, language and expressive culture, and language and gender.
