Internship in Counseling

This course refines the counseling skills of advanced doctoral students through placement in a school or community agency to conduct individual and group counseling under the supervision of an appropriately licensed professional and participation in an on-campus seminar. Students are also expected to gain supervision in diagnosis and assessment of client difficulties and to develop intervention plans. The course also aims at helping students develop the skills they need to work ethically and effectively with diverse client populations.
