Advanced Research Design & Measurement

Topics include techniques of data analysis and statistical inference used in educational research; applications of descriptive and inferential statistics for analyzing educational data and understanding published studies; methods used to analyze discrete and continuous educational data including z- and t-tests, cross-tabulations, and bivariate correlation. Attention is also given to reliability and validity issues in educational research, as well as to ethical issues in research.
