Collaboration & Partnership Among Parents & Professionals In Special Ed

Highlights research and productive strategies for establishing successful collaborative relationships with parents of children with disabilities, paraprofessionals, and other professionals. Fosters sensitivity to the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse families. Emphasis on collaboration and partnerships with other professionals, paraprofessionals, and parents as team members designing, implementing, and evaluating appropriate educational experiences for persons with disabilities. Required for all Intervention Specialist licenses in special education. Recommended to be taken with Student Teaching in all Special Education Programs.
