ESE 532

Behavioral Assessment and Intervention

The goal of this course is to train pre-service behavior analysts in the processes and analyse of functional behavioral assessment, functional behavioral analysis, behavior intervention planning, and systems support. Students will apply the principles, concepts, and research methodologies to a functional assessment project, guided by the dimensions of applied behavior analysis and the foundations of science and behaviorism. Additionally, attention will be given to systems support (e.g.Positive Behavior Support and Responsiveness to Intervention), with emphasis on maintenance and generalization of behavior change.
