The main focus is on two-dimensional Euclidean geometry. Basic topics covered include congruence, parallelism, area, and similarity. These are discussed from the axiomatic point of view. Other topics include transformation geometry, non-Euclidean geometry, vectors in geometry and some three-dimensional Euclidean geometry. Many applications are given, such as analysis of repeating patterns, computer graphics, cartography, and robot arm motion. Dynamic geometry software, and physical models and manipulatives will be used.
