This course develops the foundation for the caring of the aging adult in the primary care and community settings. With concentrations on health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and management of care for both chronic and acute conditions, health care issues specific to the aging adult will be examined. Included will be the identification of issues that impact aging clients and their families, with an emphasis on collaborative inter-professional care of the client and family from culturally diverse backgrounds.
