This course introduces a selection of conceptual models and theories related to the practice of psychotherapy. Students examine models of personality development and individual functioning and acquire an understanding of the development of psychopathology. Students will learn to select appropriate therapeutic strategies. Students apply selected theories to case study material and evaluate the utility of theory-based research findings to specific client populations.
