This course focuses on theories and conceptual models of group dynamics and group psychotherapy across diverse populations. By providing skills for assessment, planning, intervening and evaluating, this course will teach students to treat dysfunctional interpersonal patterns in group settings to improve the mental health of its members. Included in this course are ethical and legal implications of group psychotherapy. NOTE: Students must be successful in companion course NUR 830 in order to receive a passing grade in this course (NUR 829).
