Closed to freshmen and non-degree students. This course reviews our knowledge of how behavior and cognition are controlled by neural and other physiological processes. The content falls into three areas: an examination of neurons and neurotransmitters; a description of sensory and motor systems; and a summary of various behavioral and cognitive phenomena (e.g., learning, memory, psychiatric disorders) and how the central nervous system is involved in their control.
