This course is a survey of Western art music beginning with the Classical era works of Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven, continuing through the Romantic era of the 19th century, and concluding with serial, electronic and experimental music of the 20th century. It will include important genres such as symphony, chamber music, keyboard works, opera, art song, and choral music. Spring
