HIST 302
History of Western Civilization
This is a survey of Western Civilization from 1600 to the present. The course will trace the development and advancement of European nation-states from early modernization to the crises of the World Wars. In addition to political analysis, emphasis will be placed upon the ideological and socio-economical structures that developed during the last four hundred years of the 20th century. Finally, the effects of the Cold War and decolonization will also be addressed. (C-ID HIST 180)
