Maternal Child Nursing for Transition into Professional Nursing Student

This course introduces concepts related to the delivery of nursing care to childbearing families for the transition into professional nursing student. Emphasis will be placed on promotion, maintenance and restoration of health of the childbearing family and builds on the practical nursing curriculum. Upon completion of the course students will be able to apply these concepts to families within the framework of the nursing process. Online discussions and assignments will be focused on the childbearing family in maternal, newborn and pediatric settings.
