ASTR 3415

Astrophysics

Astrophysics covers the theoretical basis of what we know about the Universe around us. Topics include stellar atmospheres and spectra, stellar interiors, nuclear physics, stellar evolution and the HR diagram, and galactic structure. Galaxies: morphology and evolution; Cosmology: Hubbles law, the Big Bang theory, general relativity, and the history of the Universe. Three (3) hours of lecture each week.

MATH 1910 - Calculus I (TN eCampus)
and
PHYS 2010 - General Physics I-Noncalculus
