BIOC 6600

Molecular Biology and Genomics

An advanced graduate course on molecular biology and genomics, focused on their principles and research practice. It is intended to provide students with the latest knowledge and methodologies for biomedical research at the level of gene structure, organization and expression in eukaryotic cells. Topics include macro-molecular interactions, structure-function relationships, regulation of gene replication and expression, applications of recombinant DNA methodologies, protein engineering and bioinformatics, genome mapping, and DNA damage, mutagenesis and repair.
