BIOL 5277

Neurobiology

An introduction to the study of neurobiology. Topics include fundamentals of cellular communication (action potentials, synaptic transmission, synaptic integration), sensory systems, motor systems, the neural basis of behavior, developmental plasticity, and learning. Examples are drawn from invertebrates as well as vertebrates. Four hours lecture per week.
