Pediatric Audiology

Explores the implications of pre- and post-natal development to the auditory system, different etiologies of hearing loss, and typical auditory and speech-language development. Students select and implement appropriate behavioral and physiological assessment procedures based on a childs chronological and developmental age. Students outline concepts of early identification, including national recommendations and procedures. Students apply knowledge about fitting and verification of amplification on children.
