ECED 4010

Observing and Assessing Young Children

This course will cover assessment for children from birth to eight years of age. Both formal and informal instruments will be discussed with the emphasis on tools which can be used by teachers of young children. Considerations in choosing, administering, and reporting results of assessments will also be addressed. Field work is required.
