Tool Design

A study of the design concepts for industrial tooling including stamping dies, fixtures, and molds. Materials selection, heat treatment specifications, off-the-shelf tooling components, and make/buy decisions. Utilization of CADD and CNC to execute designs. Lecture and lab.
