GEOL 2000

Earth Materials

Mineralogy is the study of minerals through their crystal structure and morphology, and their optical properties. Students will learn to identify the major rock forming and accessory minerals, their environments of formation, and their common associations. Three lecture, two laboratory sessions per week.
