America in the 1960s

The domestic history of the United States during the 1960s, with emphasis on the eras social and cultural forces Civil Rights-Martin Luther King, Jr, Malcolm X, the Black Power Movement; Social Policy-John F. Kennedys New Frontier, Lyndon B. Johnsons Great Society. The impact of Vietnam and 1968 on the home front, antiwar protests, the counterculture, student rights, modern feminism, environmentalism, and the popular music and literature of the decade.
