Life Span Assessment and Clinical Management: Womens Health

This course focuses on nursing care of women experiencing health and developmental transitions. Biopsychosocial interactions during the childbearing cycle, as well as other health concerns of women which affect the family system such as infertility and family planning, are examined. The role of the nurse at an advanced level of practice in various settings including underserved, rural, and urban populations is explored. Nursing strategies for illness prevention, health promotion, and clinical management of acute and chronic situational health crises are examined.
