Junior Pediatrics Clerkship

Required of all third-year medical students. The Department of Pediatrics utilizes the Niswonger Childrens Hospital at Johnson City Medical Center for all inpatient experiences during the six-week clerkship rotation. Students are assigned arbitrarily to ward, specialty and nursery rotations at Niswonger and ambulatory clinics at ETSU Physicians. All students have a two-week ward; one-week NICU; two-week ambulatory/Newborn combined; and one-week specialty rotation experiences (general pediatrics and specialty pediatrics) during their rotation.
