PHYS 4007

Computational Physics

This course is designed to cover techniques used in numerically modeling physical systems and reduction of scientific data. Topics include data fitting; error analysis; numerical differentiation and integration; techniques to numerically solve systems of linear equations, ODEs, and PDEs; numerical solution to trajectory and orbit problems; and numerical Fourier analysis. Prior computer programming experience is desirable, but not mandatory.
