Practice with Families and Groups

This course applies the Generalist Intervention Model to beginning practice with families and groups. The course focuses on types of groups, group dynamics, and group leadership. Students develop and implement a group that addresses a client need. The course also focuses on types of families, family dynamics, and problems families experience. Through role-play interviews students gain skill in applying interviewing techniques to families and groups.
