Leeward Community College is a public, commuter community college in Pearl City, Hawaiʻi, on the island of Oʻahu. It is one of 10 branches of the University of Hawaiʻi system anchored by the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in Honolulu and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. As a community college, Leeward's open admissions policy only requires that a student be 18 years or older or earned a U.S. high school diploma or a GED (General Education Development) certificate.[citation needed]
