Molecular Cell Biology

The study of molecular aspects of cellular structure and function. Biological characteristics of molecules including carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids, and proteins will be taught with an emphasis on the concept that organismal physiology is the expression of molecular function. Differences between prokaryotes and eukaryotes will be included. Three hours of lecture, one 3-hr lab per week
