Applications in Geographic Information Systems

The goal of this course is to allow students to apply skills in spatial analysis to problems in social, physical, ecological, environmental health, and related areas of the social and natural sciences. Students will engage in all aspects of a GIS project with emphasis placed on employing various techniques of spatial statistics. Skills learned will range from GIS project design and data collection to the production of a written deliverable, complete with a series of digital map(s)
