DH 0165

Dental Radiology Lab

Application of the fundamentals of oral radiographic techniques utilizing radiation safety and infection control protocols in addition to basic interpretation of radiographs. Includes practical experience exposing dental radiographs, use of current patient selection criteria, electronic documentation procedures, and ancillary radiographic techniques. In addition, basic interpretation of dental radiographs will include the recognition of technique errors and the identification of normal anatomical radiographic landmarks and common abnormalities. Two hours of lab per week
