Seminar in Dental Hygiene I

This seminar course is offered in conjunction with DH 290, Dental Hygiene Clinic II and is part of the clinical education continuum. Emphasis will be placed on the laws governing the practice of dentistry and dental hygiene, moral standards, and the ethical standards established by the dental hygiene profession. Students will study current literature and evaluate research. Additionally they will gain the skills necessary for integrating the new information into his/her role as a health care provider. 1 lecture hour per week
