IET 0320

Applied Statistical Quality Control

This course provides participants with the basic skills and research methods to analyze organizational systems. Topics include analytical approaches to problem solving, control charts, capability analysis, flow charts, histograms, and measurement systems analysis. Students are expected to take a set of data that represent an organizational process and apply the appropriate statistical procedure, analyze the results of the procedure, and develop a recommendation based on the analysis. Computer based solution techniques are used where appropriate. This course is also part of the requirements for the Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Three one-hour lectures per week
