Model European Union

The European Union (EU) member states have pooled their sovereignty in a way that is historically unique. This class aims to provide a clear, systematic, and comprehensive introduction to the government and politics of the (EU). There have been several major developments to the European Union (formerly the European Coal and Steel Community) since the Robert Schuman Plan was unveiled in 1950. Among some of the developments that will be explored are the addition of new members, the expansion of the Eurozone, EU political economy, policy advancements in market integration, justice and home affairs, and foreign and defense policies
