ED 4421

Childrenand Family Ministry Internship

This course provides students an opportunity to integrate and apply childrenand familyministry course content to a particular ministry setting which has been selected by the student and approved by the student's faculty advisor. The internship is a field work experience (six weeks or a minimum of 150 hours) in which students develop and fulfill ministry objectives, create and execute a sustainable ministry project, compose documents describing their learningexperience, and fulfill all internship requirements as formulated by the program head. The internship gives students an opportunity to confirm the call to their chosen ministry path. Students will serve under the supervision of faculty in their major and a field supervisor. Students are assessed by various means, including the field supervisor's evaluation. Internships are usually scheduled for the summer prior to the student's senior year
