The course explores the structure, character and function of community in a rapidly changing world and provides students with a basic understanding of community social structures and how they function to create community in rural and urban settings. Students will learn how they function to create community in rural and urban settings. Students will learn how community theory is related to building solidarity and to creating effective community and economic development programs
