CRI 2250

VICTIMS OF CRIME

This course will introduce students to the study of crime victims. Topics will include the characteristics of crime victims, patterns in crime reporting, the psychological, social, and financial impact of crime victimization, the relationship between victims and the criminal justice system, and the views of crime victims by society at large. Recent policies that aim to protect victims' rights and programs that advocate for victims will be evaluated. Cross Listed Courses SOC 2250
