SPANISH METHODS IN ADOLESCENCE EDUCATION

This course is designed to give an overview of specific methods, materials, and curriculum for teaching specific content area and interdisciplinary connections in keeping with New York State Learning Standards as well as related national standards as specified by ACTFL. Students will focus on curriculum and unit development through lesson development using a variety of teaching approaches and the creation of a basic unit plan. This will include individualized and student-centered approaches to instruction and adaptation for students with disabilities. Consideration will be given to the integration of technology for teaching. This course is designed to develop content pedagogy capacity. Field work is required.
